Ingredients:
- Chicken thigh- 500 gms cut into 1-inch pieces
- Me Soo Yum Hot Honey Chilli Stir Fry Sauce– 50 ml
- Me Soo Yum Schezwan Sauce – 30 ml
- Light soy sauce- 2 tbsp
- Salt and pepper (Adjust to taste)
- Garlic- 6 clove, Diced
- Ginger- 1 inch, Diced
- Whole Spring Onion- 2 pieces, diced
- Roasted sesame seeds- 1 tbsp
- Cold pressed sunflower oil
For Batter (For the crispiest Chicken
- ½ cup corn starch
- ½ cup maida
- ¼ cup rice flour
- Ice cold water (adjust the water accordingly- batter should not be very thick or runny)
- Baking soda – 1 tbsp
- Salt and pepper (adjust to taste)
- Minced garlic – 1 tbsp
For Orange Sauce
- Fresh orange juice (if orange is not available, please use mandarin, sweet lime or any other citrus fruit)- 1 cup
- Light soy- 2 tbsp
- Me Soo Yum Hot Honey Chilli Stir Fry Sauce– 50 ml
- Me Soo Yum Schezwan Sauce – 30 ml
- 1 tsp Corn flour
- Orange zest- 1 tsp
- Garlic and ginger
- Salt and pepper (adjust to taste)
- Fresh red chilli/ chilli flakes (optional)
- Lemon juice- 1 – 2 tbsp (adjust accordingly)
- Spring onions- diced
Directions:
Step 1:
Marinate:
Marinate the chicken chunks in 1 tbsp light soy, salt and pepper.

Make the batter:
Whisk all the ingredients to form a batter, add baking soda just before frying and mix it well

Frying:
Dip chicken pieces in the batter and Heat oil to 350°F (175°C). Fry chicken in batches (do not overcrowd) for about 3–4 minutes per batch until golden and crispy. Drain on paper towels. For extra crispiness, do a second quick fry after resting the chicken 1–2 minutes

Make orange sauce:
In a sauce pan mix, fresh orange juice, Light soy, Me Soo Yum Hot Honey Chilli Stir Fry Sauce and Me Soo Yum Schezwan Sauce, orange zest, garlic and ginger, add salt and pepper as required. Bring It to simmer for 2 minutes

Step 5:
Add corn flour after diluting it in water to make a slurry.
Step 6:
Give it a quick taste and add Lemon juice and chilli accordingly.
Step 7:
Add spring onion and let the sauce thicken a bit.
Step 8:
Combine chicken and the sauce in large bowl or skillet
Step 9:
Garnish it with more spring onion and roasted sesame. Serve immediately.
